New forms of PvP in GW2?
Hey , Bicky here, newly signed up on guru but observed for god knows how long.
basicly, R9 ha and G1, wondering if i should carry on HA for R10 and so on or if i could concentrate on something else within the game and start in GW2 pvp if there are any new forms of PvP.
i still play for fun with friends and despite them being lower ranks i still have a great laugh with them.
Also if there were any new forms of PvP or arneas. What would you want.
what you recon?

afawk there is only 2 types of PvP:
World PvP: Is in the PvE areas and gives PvE rewards. Are massive fighting fests that will probably be always imba because of varying power levels of the players.
GW2's GvG-esque mode: Everyone is UAX in these areas. Team versus team.
That's it. Way easier to balance for.

Chances are, with PvP taking place in the world, the variation will come in what places are most popular to fight in.
Less PvP forms definitely leads to better balance, and integrating PvP into PvE in a world format, while turning away those hardcore PvEers that are afraid to die, seems like an exciting experience to keep players on edge.

it's a really good idea imo. The variation probably comes from the PvE places each being different modes, but keeping the balancing in the pure PvP place since PvE places would be similar to AB if you used PvE characters. The thing is, you get PvErs into PvP by giving them an incentive to do so. Zkeys just aren't a big enough incentive, and they can buy them. Having actual PvE rewards (possibly tokens you turn in for PvE gear, untradeable) or benefits in PvE zones, is a good incentive for them to try PvP. And if they like it, they'll move on up to the big stage in time.
It's kind of like a bread crumb trail, you have to lead them into it. GW1 atm is kind of like a bread crumb trail that went 24 different ways and 23 of them lead into bottomless pits. This is way better in execution.
